Susan & Jerry's Africa

Aloha and thank you (mahalo!) for visiting our blog.
Have you ever been to Africa or dreamed of going? Do you read about the HIV/AIDS pandemic devasting Africa and have a deep desire to help? Are you skeptical that money sent for aid in Africa won't reach the neediest? Do you believe in lending a hand not just giving a "hand-out"? Do you hear God calling your heart to a place where the need is desperate and the people are so worthy of a better life? Then, why not join us on a short term mission trip to Sub-Saharan Africa on July 27 - August 5, 2006.
After Susan's garden-planting trip to Swaziland last July with Dream for Africa's Never Ending Gardens program, we are convinced that planting life-sustaining, immune-boosting seedlings offers African orphaned children and widowed mothers a chance to feed themselves - a chance to fight pervasive hunger and susceptibility to disease.
Each day 30,000 children die of starvation/malnutrition in Africa. More than 6,500 people die every day of HIV/AIDS and 14 million children are orphaned in Africa due to the AIDS pandemic.
Can we save the world? No. Can we help one person at a time? Yes. Is there hope? YES!
Read here and click on the links to learn how you can fulfill God's calling & GO to Africa with us!
